Back when life was simpler than it was today, the French-Canadians would say "les sauvages s'en viennent!" to indicate that a woman was in labor. "Les sauvages" directly translated means "the savages". It refered to the Indians, back when Quebec was first discovered. The expression means "The savages, or the Indians, are coming". I'll have to research how exactly that expression came to mean labor.

This is my TTC journal, my pregnancy diary book, my place to plan the birth I wish for.

I plan to keep this journal VERY private. This is where I will share a lot of personal things, personnal thoughts and wishes. I am planning for my second child. I want this birth to be NOTHING like my first. In order for this to happen, I have read a lot of things, made a lot of decisions. Decisions that have confused my family, because it's different that what they are used to. But I will stand my ground. In order to have the birth I want, to have a vbac, there are a lot of things I'm going to do.

Here I will talk about this. I will post reflections about what I'm reading, I will note down things I do not want to forget come labor, things I want to focus on. This will be my Pregnancy and Labor plan book. Later on, I plan to print this journal all out and make a beautiful book for me to keep, for my future child to see. I feel sad that I never did this with my first born. I didn't know then what I know now.
